Alex Iwobi sets sights on European qualification with Fulham

Alex Iwobi has revealed that Fulham is determined to push for a place in Europe at the end of the season, following their 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest at Craven Cottage last weekend.

The Whites are currently in eighth position on the Premier League table with 39 points from 25 games, just five points off the coveted fourth spot, which secures European qualification.

Iwobi, speaking to The Mirror, emphasized the team’s ambition and focus on achieving their goals step by step. He acknowledged the significance of their win over big teams, stating, “To do the double over big teams will definitely give us an advantage, but we always take it game by game.”

He added, “It doesn’t matter if the other team is challenging for the European spots or in the relegation zone, we’ll treat everyone with the same respect. We just have to keep on pushing, we see the quality in training every day.”

The Nigerian international also confirmed that European qualification is very much on the minds of the team, though they remain focused on their immediate next matches. “We’re all very ambitious and we take things step by step. It’s definitely in the back of our minds,” Iwobi concluded.
