2027: APC launches e-registration to link members with NIN for streamlined membership database

On Thursday, February 13, 2025, the All Progressives Congress (APC) launched an e-registration initiative aimed at linking its members to the National Identification Number (NIN) ahead of the 2027 general elections. This move is part of the party’s plan to create a comprehensive, digitized database of its members.

The APC announced the launch after signing an agreement with consultants tasked with overseeing the exercise. The party, in a statement on its official X account, highlighted that the initiative would modernize, strengthen, and digitize its membership register, marking a significant shift from an analogue to a digital system.

The agreement was signed by APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, with key figures such as Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo also present at the signing ceremony. This development is seen as a step towards enhancing the party’s organizational capacity ahead of the 2027 elections.
