VP Kamala Harris thanks President Biden, vows to win Democratic ticket
The Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, finally broke her silence after President Joe Biden dropped out of the Presidential race and later endorsed her (Harris) as the nominee for the Democratic Party.
She thanked President Biden for his service to the country, and vowed that she will win the nomination and defeat former President Donald Trump in the polls come November, with the help of Americans.
She said this in an X post on Sunday, July 21.
“On behalf of the American people, I thank Joe Biden for his extraordinary leadership as President of the United States and for his decades of service to our country.
I am honored to have the President’s endorsement and my intention is to earn and win this nomination,” Harris wrote.
The Democratic National Convention (DNC) will take place in United Center in Chicago from Monday, August 19 through Thursday, August 22.
This is where the Democrats will finally offer the Presidential ticket to their preferred candidate.
