Less than a week after Real Madrid and football legend Toni Kroos retired from football, his shirt number, No 8, has been handed to Uruguayan central midfielder Fede Valverde, who previously wore the number 15.
Valverde will wear the number from the beginning of the 2024/25 season.
Kylian Mbappé, who recently joined the La Liga and Champions League holders, will wear the number 9 shirt, unsurprisingly.
Mbappé never requested number 10 out of respect for Luka Modrić, who currently wears the shirt at the Bernabeu.
