President Bola Tinubu has told Nigerians that there will now be a Federal Ministry of Livestock Development.
This is coming in the aftermath of the lingering crisis between farmers and herders in several parts of the country.
In September 2023, Tinubu had revealed plans to secure land for ranches and livestock production.
Tinubu had said the measure was part of the Federal Government’s efforts to resolve the longstanding farmer-herder crisis.
