Politician and seasoned musician Bankole Wellington, known to all as Banky W, returned to the classroom after his defeat in the Nigerian general election of 2023 as he is now working on a master’s degree at Georgetown University.
Banky W, who ran on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform in the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in Lagos State, lost to Thaddeus Attah, the Labour Party (LP) candidate.
Updating his followers about his current pursuit in an Instagram post on Friday, the singer said he is now pursuing a master’s degree in policy at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
“Gave up being a CEO to become a student because sometimes you have to let go of what is impressive to gain what is important.
“I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Policy at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. The journey of faith continues. Please wish me well,” he posted.
This came barely two months after he survived a fourth cancer surgery.
