June 12: There’s nothing to celebrate, Democracy Day means nothing to us – Imo NLC

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Imo state chapter declared on Wednesday, June 12, that there is nothing to celebrate about Democracy Day in the state.

Comrade Ifeanyi Nwaguma, publicity secretary of the NLC in Imo, stated: “Such a celebration holds no significance for the workers in the state.”

He added: “Although the workers are at home observing the day, it has little or no meaning for them to celebrate. We don’t have much to celebrate; it has no meaning for us. For us in NLC, there is nothing to celebrate.
