BREAKING: VeryDarkMan regains freedom
A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to social media influencer and blogger, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan on his social media channels.
Otse, who spent almost three weeks in detention, was released from police custody after satisfying his bail condition on Monday, June 10.
However, the details of the bail condition were still sketchy.
A viral video on X shows VeryDarkMan walking into his fans after he was set free, with popular Nigerian blogger Tunde Ednut, also confirming his release in an Instagram post.
“THIS MORNING: VeryDarkMan seen in court this morning. Bail has been granted to him, and arrangements are currently being made. He will be home once he finishes that.”
Recall that the Federal High Court in Abuja remanded activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, on charges of cybercrime on Wednesday, May 22.
The police charge sheets revealed that VeryDarkMan faced five counts related to cyberstalking.
One of the charges alleged that he posted videos on his Instagram account, ‘VeryDarkBlackman,’ containing information that was “grossly offensive, pornographic, or of an indecent, obscene, or menacing nature.”
