NEDC to hand over 134 projects to Taraba Govt

The North-East Development Commission (NEDC) has said it will soon hand over to the Taraba State government the 134 projects it executed in various sectors across the state.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the commission, Muhammed Alkali,  announced this in Jalingo during a courtesy call on Governor Agbu Kefas.

Alkali said the commission was in Taraba to introduce the new members of the board recently inaugurated by President Bola Tinubu and to monitor some of the projects going on in the state.

The MD said most of the projects were at various levels of completion while some were already for handover to the state government.

Responding, Kefas commended the commission for the development initiative and pledged the full collaboration and support of the state government to the commission.

“This visit attests to your commitment to the development of the region. I am aware of the challenges confronting our region, both infrastructure and security. I am optimistic that with the right collaboration, we will overcome this. The NEDC plays a crucial role in achieving our goals and so we hold you in high esteem.
