Otedola hosts Wizkid and Burna Boy in Lagos, celebrates Afrobeats’ global success
Billionaire businessman Femi Otedola recently had a star-studded gathering at his Lagos mansion, hosting two of Nigeria’s biggest music icons, Wizkid and Burna Boy.
On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, Otedola shared pictures from the special meeting on his X account, explaining that the purpose was to exchange ideas and celebrate the worldwide success of Afrobeats.
He wrote, “A true privilege to host some of our biggest music icons @wizkidayo @burnaboy at my Lagos home. Always inspiring to share ideas and celebrate the global movement that is Afrobeats …F.Ote.”
The photos quickly went viral on social media, but many fans noticed the absence of Davido, who, along with Wizkid and Burna Boy, is often considered one of the “big three” of Afrobeats music. This led to lots of buzz and speculation online.
