Zamfara governor Dauda Lawal says Bello Turji’s days are numbered

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has expressed confidence that the days of the notorious terrorist and bandit leader, Bello Turji, are numbered. In an interview with Channels TV on Wednesday, January 15, Governor Lawal shared his optimism that Turji’s criminal activities would soon come to an end.

Governor Lawal praised the Nigerian Armed Forces for their ongoing efforts against criminal groups, stating that he believes their operations will lead to Turji’s eventual defeat.

“I believe [killing] Bello Turji is a matter of time, his days are numbered because I can see the commitment from the Armed Forces in terms of taking Bello Turji out,” Lawal said. “I am confident and optimistic, and I believe that the Armed Forces are ready to take him out.”

Bello Turji has been linked to a series of violent attacks in Zamfara and neighboring states. Despite numerous efforts to eliminate him, he remains at large, though many other terrorists have been killed in the ongoing military operations. Governor Lawal’s remarks reflect growing optimism that Turji’s reign of terror will soon end.
