Ondo governor Aiyedatiwa dissolves cabinet, keeps two commissioners
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has officially dissolved the State Executive Council, effective immediately. The announcement was made on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, in Akure.
However, the governor decided to retain two members of the cabinet due to the importance of their roles. The two commissioners who remain in office are Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, and Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac, the Commissioner for Finance.
The statement further clarified that all other cabinet members must hand over any government properties in their possession to the appropriate officers in their ministries.
Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed his gratitude to the dissolved cabinet members for their contributions to the state’s development during his administration and wished them success in their future endeavors.
