“His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, has approved the dissolution of the State Executive Council (EXCO), effective from 10th January 2025,” the statement reads.
The governor directed that all commissioners and special advisers hand over their duties to their permanent secretaries or, where there is no permanent secretary, to the most senior director.
Governor Eno expressed his gratitude to the outgoing cabinet members, thanking them for their service and wishing them well in their future endeavors. “The governor appreciates the dedicated service of the outgoing Executive Council members and thanks them for their contributions to the development of Akwa Ibom,” the statement concluded.
