A Manchester City fan tragically passed away following a medical emergency during their 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday, December 15.

The club confirmed the heartbreaking news in a brief statement released on Monday, December 16.

It read: “Manchester City are aware of the tragic news that one of our supporters passed away following a medical incident at yesterday’s match. The thoughts of everyone at the Club are with their family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.”
