Comedian Deeone calls out VeryDarkMan over N200m NGO donations, demands transparency
Popular Nigerian comedian Deeone has called out VeryDarkMan, a well-known social media figure, over the N200 million he raised for his NGO (non-governmental organization).
Deeone is demanding that VeryDarkMan update the public about the donations he received, which were meant to support his work in improving education in Nigeria.
In a viral video posted on Instagram, Deeone expressed his concerns about VeryDarkMan’s silence since the public donations were made. He gave VeryDarkMan a one-week ultimatum to explain how the money has been used, insisting that the funds were intended for the NGO, not for personal use.
“VeryDarkMan, I gave you one week to wrap up everything you’re doing with the NGO and come back to Nigerians the same way you publicly asked for money. That money is not for personal use,” Deeone said in the video.
Deeone also raised concerns about the lack of accountability, claiming that many celebrities are hesitant to speak out because they are afraid of VeryDarkMan’s influence and secrets. “He begged publicly for the donation, and now he wants to live a private life,” Deeone added.
The comedian’s statement has sparked a lot of conversation on social media, with many people calling for transparency from those who raise funds for causes and projects.
