Halle Bailey criticizes DDG for featuring son on livestream without her consent, faces public backlash
Actress and singer Halle Bailey publicly criticized her ex-partner, rapper DDG, after he included their son, Halo, on a livestream with Twitch star Kai Cenat without her prior knowledge. Bailey, currently out of town, voiced her frustration on social media, stating she hadn’t been informed about Halo’s appearance on the November 6 stream.
“Just so you know, I am out of town and I don’t approve of my baby being on a stream tonight,” Bailey wrote on X, expressing disappointment over Halo being shown “in front of millions of people” without her consent. She emphasized her role as Halo’s “mother and protector,” noting her dismay at being left out of the decision.
Bailey’s comments quickly sparked criticism. Many social media users pointed out that she herself often posts pictures of Halo, questioning the reasoning behind her disapproval. Responses such as “As if she doesn’t post him to millions every day” and “Talking like her baby is not already all over the internet” circulated widely, intensifying the backlash.
Following the heated response, Bailey deactivated her Instagram and X accounts. This latest clash comes shortly after DDG announced their breakup in October, less than a year after Halo’s birth. In a statement at the time, DDG shared that he and Bailey had chosen to go separate ways after “much reflection and heartfelt conversations,” describing it as a challenging yet mutual decision.
The ongoing drama has put a spotlight on co-parenting issues in the public eye, raising questions about boundaries and consent in sharing children’s lives online.
