Amokachi optimistic about Lobi Stars’ growth after victory

Lobi Stars technical adviser Daniel Amokachi has expressed optimism about the team’s development following their recent victory over Bayelsa United.

Amokachi noted that the team is still a “work in progress” after securing a 2-1 win in a matchday nine fixture at the Lafia City Stadium on Monday, October 28.

This victory marked Amokachi’s first win since taking the helm as Lobi Stars coach. Reflecting on the match, he stated, “It’s been two weeks of football and I came with three sessions and three matches in one week. That’s tough.”

He acknowledged the challenges faced, particularly after a previous loss to Ikorodu City, which necessitated significant changes to the lineup. “We used some certain players for those games and we have to do a lot of changes after the loss,” he explained.

With new players integrated into the squad, Amokachi emphasized the importance of building confidence: “It’s a work in progress. The important thing is getting three points at home, which will build the players’ confidence moving forward.”
