APGA best choice for Obi, Otti – Ofoegbu
Raymond Ofoegbu, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Umuahia North in the upcoming local government elections in Abia State, stated on Wednesday, October 24, 2024, that he believes Governor Alex Otti and Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, should leave the Labour Party and return to APGA.
Speaking to FLO FM in Umuahia, Ofoegbu emphasized that the political futures of both Obi and Otti would be better protected in APGA as they prepare for the 2027 elections.
“At a critical time like this when betrayal has become the order of the day, I am still putting my voice to call upon Peter Obi and Alex Otti to return to APGA for a smoother journey in 2027,” he said. “The fight is against them. I don’t know why they are not seeing it.”
Ofoegbu also accused the ruling APC of causing problems within the Labour Party and the PDP, claiming it aims to weaken the opposition ahead of the next election. He believes that both Obi and Otti, as former members of APGA, could help strengthen the party and bring it back to success if they decide to rejoin.
