BREAKING: Bobrisky falls ill in police custody, rushed to hospital
On Wednesday, October 23, Okuneye Idris, better known as Bobrisky, a well-known crossdresser, fell ill while being held at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Alagbon, Lagos.
After spending the night in a police cell, Bobrisky was quickly taken to Falomo Police Hospital for medical care. A source shared that he was moved from the FCID to the hospital for treatment.
The source explained, “Bobrisky complained of ‘breast’ pain and was rushed to the Police Hospital in the Falomo area of Lagos around 2:00 p.m. in an ambulance. He wore a black gown, covered his face with a shawl, and lay down in the ambulance.”
Bobrisky had been taken into custody on Monday night by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) after being arrested at the Seme border in Lagos while trying to leave the country.
It looks like he might stay in detention while detectives investigate the details of his arrest. The FCID is expected to request permission to keep him in custody for further questioning.
A statement from the FCID about Bobrisky’s health is anticipated later today. Kenneth Udo, a spokesperson for the NIS, confirmed the arrest and called Bobrisky “a person of interest,” noting that they intercepted him at the Seme border to help secure Nigeria’s borders.
