Nigerian forward Sodiq Awujoola has officially joined Egyptian Premier League club Pyramids FC. The 23-year-old forward made the move from another Egyptian side, Ceramica Cleopatra, on Friday, October 4, 2024.
Awujoola has signed a season-long loan with Pyramids FC, which includes an option to buy at the end of the loan period. As part of the deal, Mahmoud Zalaka and Fagrie Lakay have transferred to Ceramica Cleopatra.
Awujoola previously joined Ceramica Cleopatra from Smouha at the beginning of last season. During his time with Ceramica, he made a significant impact by scoring 12 goals and providing 11 assists. His performance also played a key role in helping the team secure the Egyptian League Cup, where they triumphed over Tala’ea El Gaish in the final.
