‘I have been homeless’ – Karen Igho speaks out against husband’s alleged abuse
Karen Igho, the winner of Big Brother Africa, has turned to social media for help, revealing distressing details about her ongoing struggles with her husband, Yaroslav Rakos.
In a series of posts on her X handle on Tuesday, October 2, Karen shared that she has been facing a difficult divorce and has been homeless for a year. She accused Rakos of both physical and sexual abuse, while also expressing concern for her safety.
Karen urged the public to hold her husband accountable should anything happen to her, stating, “I am going through a divorce with my husband, I have been homeless for a year now and I have been sexually and physically hurt. So if anything happens to me, hold the man who brought me to a country where I know no one.”
She also revealed that Rakos is trying to gain custody of their two children by falsely claiming she is mentally unstable. “He is trying to take our children away by saying I’m mentally sick. I’m not sick mentally and I don’t do drugs. In case you don’t hear from me again know that I have been killed,” she added.
Karen, who won Big Brother Africa in 2011, moved to the United States after marrying Rakos in Jos, Plateau State, in 2014.
