Bobrisky considers suicide amid N15 million bribery allegations

On Thursday, September 26, Nigerian cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, expressed thoughts of suicide following allegations of a N15 million bribery against him.

Activist and social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, released an audio recording in which Bobrisky allegedly offers N15 million to operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The money was reportedly intended to persuade the agency to drop money laundering charges against him and to avoid a potential jail term at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos State.

Bobrisky has denied the authenticity of the audio, labeling it as fake. However, in a Facebook post, he stated that he is contemplating suicide due to the attempts to belittle him.

He wrote: “I have never in my life thought about suicide, but now it’s coming to my head seeing what human beings are doing to their fellow humans just in the name of wanting to bring them down or because you don’t like them.”

He continued, “I don’t need any sympathy from anyone. The people I might have needed sympathy from are my late parents. But who will fight for you? Friends? Haters? You won.”
