Senator Nwoye speaks out against gunmen attack on Ogbaru LG Headquarters

Senator Tony Nwoye, who represents Anambra North in the National Assembly, has strongly condemned the recent attack on the Atani Headquarters of Ogbaru Local Government Area by unknown gunmen.

In a statement, Senator Nwoye described the attack as deeply troubling and expressed concern for the residents and businesses in the area, who are now living in fear for their safety and property.

He urged all security agencies in Anambra State, especially those in Ogbaru Local Government Area, to intensify their efforts to address the security breach and prevent similar incidents in the future. According to Section 14 (2)(b) of the 1999 Nigerian Constitution, ensuring the safety of lives and property is a primary responsibility of the government, and he emphasized that security agencies must fulfill this duty.

Senator Nwoye also extended his condolences to those affected by the vandalism, injuries, or loss of life. He urged both citizens and residents to report any suspicious activities to the authorities promptly and called on security agencies to respond swiftly to such information to prevent future occurrences.
