Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that summer signing Pedro Neto is available for selection ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League opener against Manchester City on Sunday, August 18.
The Portuguese winger, who joined Chelsea from Wolves, is set to make his debut at Stamford Bridge this weekend. Despite only arriving at the club recently, Maresca stated that Neto is in good physical condition.
“Pedro’s physical condition is good,” Maresca said during his pre-match press conference on Friday. “The only thing is that he’s been here for just the last two or three days, so he will need to get used to the way we play.”
Maresca emphasized that Neto’s fitness is not in question, though he left the decision on whether Neto will start or be on the bench up to the final pre-match considerations.
