Mohbad’s family cautions against protests, calls for order and decorum
The family of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has dismissed a recent call by actor Yomi Fabiyi for a protest at the next court hearing.
Mohbad tragically passed away under mysterious circumstances on September 12, 2023. Following an exhumation and autopsy, the toxicology report yielded no conclusive findings regarding the cause of death. Despite this, Mohbad’s family has insisted on an independent autopsy.
In preparation for the first anniversary of Mohbad’s death, Fabiyi proposed a peaceful protest to demand justice. He also suggested a similar demonstration at the next court hearing.
However, Mohbad’s family, through their legal team, has cautioned against protests within the court premises, warning that such actions could disrupt proceedings and potentially lead to contempt charges.
While acknowledging the public’s right to express grievances, the family emphasized the importance of maintaining order and decorum within the courtroom.
