ASP Abubakar Sadiq, the Command’s spokesman disclosed this in an exclusive interview with Channels Television on Saturday.

He said the State Police Command is already on top of the situation, adding that, the state is relatively calm and peaceful as people are going about their lawful businesses.

Sadiq further urged Katsina residents to continue to cooperate with the security agencies, asking parents and guardians to warn their children to desist from any act that will conflict with the law.

The police spokesman while reacting to a viral video circulating on social media platforms, particularly on X (formerly known as Twitter), of a security agent lying motionless on the ground, alleged to have been shot dead by a police officer while trying to disperse protesters in the state, described it as misleading.

According to him, the video is manipulated and taken out of context, stating that, there was no such shooting incident throughout the command during the protest.
