2027: Joe Igbokwe warns Obi, Atiku, others to stop dreaming of presidency

On Wednesday, January 8, Joe Igbokwe, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), sent a strong message to those hoping to become president in 2027. He told them to stop dreaming, saying that President Bola Tinubu will remain in power until 2031.

Igbokwe’s comments came as rumors spread that Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s candidate in the 2023 election, and Atiku Abubakar from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were planning to challenge Tinubu in the upcoming election.

In a post shared on his official Facebook page, Igbokwe warned anyone with presidential ambitions to give up the idea for now. He emphasized that Tinubu would continue as Nigeria’s president for the next eight years, adding that the president needs a second term to “set the records straight.”

He wrote: “If any presidential aspirant is dreaming of winning presidential elections in 2027, I will advise that candidate to perish the thought till 2031. PBAT is destined to remain in the seat of power till 2031. He needs eight years to set the records straight.”
